It’s ‘Random Acts of Kindness Day’

Playing our part in spreading kindness

It’s Random Acts of Kindness Day - where we are all encouraged to spread kindness - and after the year we have all had, I believe it is so important to be kind to each other.

Since I opened Sarah’s Coffee Shop last year, many of my customers and social media followers have showed me lots of kindness and support for my new business, so I would like do the same in return.

The coronavirus outbreak has affected everyone in some way or another. As they say, we are all in the same storm, but we are not all on the same boat.

This is why I believe that it is crucial that we show kindness to one another. We don’t know the struggles other people are facing.

According to a survey by the Mental Health Foundation, two-thirds of people say that when others are kind to them, it has a positive impact on their mental health.

Therefore, my random act of kindness this week is to randomly give away one free coffee to a customer each day this week.

By spreading some kindness, I hope I can help to put a smile on someone’s face each day and play a part in making their day just a little bit better.

So, spread kindness, smiles and happiness to those you know, and even those you don’t, this Random Acts of Kindness Day. And don’t forget, to be kind to yourself.

Which random act of kindness will you be carrying out today?

You could send a friend a motivational text, a joke or a picture of a cute animal, arrange a video or phone call to check in on friends and family, donate to a charity, or even play a game with those in your bubble.

Pop in to get your coffee and you could be a fortunate recipient of my random acts of kindness!
