Look after yourself this January

Christmas is a busy time for us all – and while it is the season of joy and goodwill, none of us are immune to the stresses it can bring. That is why it is so important to take some time for yourself this January and do the things you enjoy, starting with the small stuff – like a good cup of coffee.


Often it can feel like the New Year doesn’t provide the time to unwind. We’ve gone through the hustle and bustle of buying presents, cooking the turkey and making sure we send a “Happy New Year!” to even the most distant of relatives – and then suddenly the return to the nine-to-five, budgeting and need to burn off the Christmas calories kicks in.


The truth is though, we can all take five minutes out of our busy schedules and take the time to breathe, relax and unwind. And that’s not something you should ever feel guilty for – especially if you’re a mum like me juggling family and professional life.


For me, the perfect break looks like a coffee and a catch-up with my nearest and dearest.
