We’re expanding!

I am so excited to announce that we are expanding Sarah’s Coffee Shop to Capel St Mary, my hometown!

Since I opened Sarah’s Coffee Shop at Severalls Business Park in September 2020, it has been a whirlwind.

We were already facing a challenge in opening our doors in the COVID-19 pandemic. We then faced a national lockdown two months after opening; and The Times predicted that at least 250,000 small firms would fold in 2021.

It is therefore incredible for me to be sharing the news that we will be opening a second pop-up shop within the village hall in my hometown of Capel St Mary.

During the national lockdowns, I witnessed first-hand how difficult the pandemic was on the community in Capel St Mary, especially the elderly who may have had to self-isolate from loved ones for a huge amount of time.

I saw the need to create a safe space for friends and family to reconnect in person – and I wanted to make it happen!

As well as managing the coffee shop, I am also a trustee at Capel Community Trust, so I have been working closely on a community garden project at the village hall for some time.

When the garden reached completion in August, I thought to myself: “this space would be even better if there was the option to have a hot drink and a slice of cake with a loved one.”

I put forward my idea for a pop-up Sarah’s Coffee Shop and the rest, as they say, is history!

The garden space is beautiful and there are plenty of tables to socially distance where needed. You’ll only need to pop inside to get your hot drink and cake!

The pop-up shop at Capel St Mary will be open from 9am – 3pm, Monday to Friday as well as on Saturday morning in the family bar.

There will be a variety of refreshments including coffees, teas and soft drinks and homemade cakes.

For all my regulars at Severalls, don’t worry! We’ll still be open as normal on weekdays between 7:45am until 2:30pm.
